“Provide subspecialty care with a focus on minimally invasive procedures, early recovery, and return to function. Getting you back to doing what you love!”

Dr. Mike Smith is an Australian trained Adelaide Orthopaedic surgeon. He specialises in all aspects of Foot, Ankle and Knee surgery, with a particular passion for Keyhole techniques.

After completing his Orthopaedic Specialist training in Adelaide, Dr. Smith undertook subspecialty fellowships both nationally, in Queensland, and with internationally renowned surgeons throughout Europe, the UK, and the USA. The key focus of this training was on minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery of the foot and ankle, arthroscopy sports injury/reconstruction, and the latest joint replacement techniques, including robotic knee surgery, computer navigated total knee replacement, and patient specific instrumentation.

Dr. Smith strongly believes in staying up to date with the latest in surgical advances and techniques and is a regular attendee of local and international conferences. In 2017 he attended an international sports conference in Shanghai, which is one of the largest orthopaedic conferences in the world. He also attended the European Foot and Ankle Surgery Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, which had a strong focus on the latest surgical techniques that have been developed throughout the world. In what spare time he has, Dr. Smith loves the experiences he gains from travelling. He also keeps active with a passion for recreational sports, that he continues to play on a regular basis.
