After completing his Orthopaedic Specialist training in Adelaide, Dr. Smith undertook subspecialty fellowships both nationally, in Queensland, and with internationally renowned surgeons throughout Europe, the UK, and the USA. The key focus of this training was on minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery of the foot and ankle, arthroscopy sports injury/reconstruction, and the latest joint replacement techniques, including robotic knee surgery, computer navigated total knee replacement, and patient specific instrumentation.
Dr. Smith strongly believes in staying up to date with the latest in surgical advances and techniques and is a regular attendee of local and international conferences.
